I have been with Pones for a little over a year, and I have had some really wonderful opportunities for both performing and teaching. Projects like Diorama for Cincinnati, by Norwegian choreographed Ingri Fiskdal, inspire me because they are experimental and speak on a raw emotional level. I work with and make puppets as well, so the integration of moving pieces in her choreography was fantastic. In my teaching, I am drawn to classes which inspire women and girls, and other challenged members of the community to be empowered through movement. The past year I especially enjoyed teaching classes at Upspring, as well as Ronald McDonald House and the Woman’s City Club Health Expo.
